I am fairly new to AKs, just curious to know the opinions of proud
side-folder owners.  Feel free to post pics, if I see something I like, I might be a convert.

Glad I got in when it was relatively cheap. Missed the boat on the cheap krinks, but one day I'll hopefully have one of those too.

It's the shiny plum pistol grip that's the hardest thing to find.  The last one I saw went for $100.  I know someone that has a spare set, but I doubt he'd sell it.

I just happen to have a Russian shiny plumb pistol grip I have a couple feelers out across the pond for a laminated 74 upper and lower. As a matter of fact,I have a Russian laminated 74 upper but its in the gold/green coloring.

Nice score on the shiny plum PG!

The true AK74 uppers are hard to find now.  You might try asking Tantal about a lower HG if you haven't already.  Unless you're holding out for an original finish set, Z_recto can refinish your upper to match.  He did the upper that's in my photo.  It was one of the green ones that he refinished to match the original finish lower HG.

Is that a real can?!

Yes it's an AAC 7.62 Krinkov can. While shooting you think its not too quite but when you stand off 20' and listen to someone else you go WOW thats quite for .223 or 5.45.
