Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How much to trim rivet before mashing

How much do you guys trim off of the rivet stem before you mash them with your bolt cutters. They look like there will be too much material agter mashing and will interfere with barrel install.

Also should rivet be pushed all the way in and mashed from the back or should I try to evenly center the rivet.

none. just squeeze it baby, yeah!


push it in all the way, try to keep it pushed all the way in, then squeeze.
