They will NOT fit in a SKS model D or model M... the little reinforcement ribs at the top catch on the mag well when you try to insert it.

they work fine in Arsenal guns, VEPR guns, etc.

Most mags play well together and are pretty interchangeble. Once in awhile you run into one that fits really tight or to tight to put in. Sometimes its the mag wells and not the mags.

Man you have the same rationale as I do.

So I have this $9 mag but no gun to put it in. Hmmm..Ok I'll buy two...Now I need more mags.

I think it's safe to say they won't fit in an AR-15.
