Just got finished talking with Jimmy from Armory USA. I wanted to pass some of the info along to all of you.

They still have Tantal Kits available:

Standard Condition (60% finish or better, with good bores)

Very Good Condition (90% finish or better, with good bores)

Near Perfect Condition

Never Painted Gray Parkerized Tantal Kits

Gray Parkerized 5.45 Tantal Mags

They are going to be making Tantal 5.45 Receivers. These receivers will be the standard 1mm 5.45 receiver, except with no holes drilled. This will allow your gunsmith of choice to decide whether to use the original Tantal Selector Lever and Left Side Selector.

He said he could also make a "helluva" deal for someone who wanted to purchase 50 or more kits. The catch is you gotta buy them within the next two weeks. Even better if you buy 100 or more.

They would be Standard Grade Kits.

Did he say anything about the costs on the undrilled receiver? He had previously noted that they were going to be $10 more.

Any idea on the time frame? I need a couple recievers and was planning in swinging by there next week - But with this news I'll hold off until the Tantal ones are ready.

FWIW - I picked up a "hand select" Tantal kit from them and there is not a scratch on it with 99% finish. It looks brand new.

Yep. $10 more for the Tantal Receiver. He said they were working on them now.....

Hot damn!!! Please tell me the Global markings will be on the bottom. Will the receiver right side markings will bear the correct Polish letters?

New to the AK veteran of the AR so forgive me....

What round does the Tantal chamber in? I am thinking about ordering one of these kits this weekend to go with the other AK kit I ordered last week.

If you guys can scrape up the money, 50 kit minimum, you can get them for $150 each.....
