Depends how much you want it to match, as the mags come at a premium vs black. Otherwise get the cheaper kit since kvar sells both as US parts at the same price I believe.

The AK-74 plum furniture looks WICKED with the Russian plum magazines. Pics are almost impossible to take, though.

I ordered one of the new Bulgy 74s,they come in black but I've got a set of Russian plumb ready to slap on it,once it gets here.Its all personal preference,plumb was used early on,until they figured out how to make them in black and maintain the strenghts.74s are still in service with a variety of different styles,ranging from laminated wood,plumb and black.

Yeah I'm split on it right now. The kit came with black, but I really am thinking about the plum. K-var has some plum mags too...

I'm putting some plum kvar furniture on my slr105 as soon as it gets hear. Couple plum mags from the GB and I'm good to go. I think it looks alot better than the basic black.
