I have a 'project' SAR-3.  The piston rod is not secure in the bolt carrier, i.e. it
will unscrew readily.  What can I do to fix this.  The BC does have a hole on one
side where a pin should have gone bit the piston screw head doesn't have the
corresponding hole in it and I'm not sure a set screw would work.  Any suggestions ?

The piston need to be  screwed into the Bolt carrier . Placed in a Vise and drill the piston clean through to the Roll pin or solid pin you choose to use.. Take your time and don't force the drill bit. It can walk on ya or break. Your problem is solved. Seems like they forgot to drill and pin it. No big deal. Do it yourself... Good luck WarDawg
