I've had better luck wiggling the stock side to side as compared to hammering it out from the inside. Slow at first, but it eventually comes out and less potential for damage.

You took both screws out, right? The one visible on the outside and the one on the inside? Just making sure.

And again...lay the gun across your lap....smack the stock with the palm of your hand or a big rubber mallet...after each hit turn it over and do it again...keep it up untill you can pull the stock out. Your gonna get the same answers as the thread you started a few days ago about the same thing.

This always works for me.
Field strip the rifle (remove top cover, bolt, etc). Hold the stock in your hand with muzzle pointing down to the floor. Take a rubber mallet and pound on the rear site block. Works everytime. Just make sure there is a pillow below the rifle so you don't mess up the crown when it falls. |

yeah had to shut our bedroom door, as a slew of profanity erupted towards the end, and it seemed slide out quicker once that began. and yes, I know you can make that into a toilet joke. |
