Immagine being the one that has to pile em up for the bonfire.......I dont think I could have lit them.  Our EOD guys blew them up more than burning them.

doesn't matter what they "want", matters what the founding fathers intended for us to have.

yeah that was depressing to see them destroy those weapons.  Money could be made off those kits!

another question is how does the Romanian PSL match up against the Russian SVD in an accuracy contest?

Those rifles are semi automatic and we should be able to put a price on them. Imagine how much they would go for here in the US!

That's funny, I took almost every pic on his Iraqi AK page.  All the Tabuk closeups, and the Tobuk next to the M4 are mine.  I posted them on the FAL files a long time ago.

Of course they do, but that's not the issue. After all, it's not like it's THEIR money, is it?

Besides, the more servicable weapons and ammunition they find and destroy in Iraq, the more the get to pay China for REPLACEMENT weapons and ammunition.

Isn't our primary concern the need to keep China's military industries in tiptop condition, and keep China's economy humming right along?

You'll drive yourself nuts if you try to ascribe sane motivations to the stuff that's going on these days.

I can not for the life of me understand why there are agreements between our government, China and Russia preventing the export from their countries and the import into our country of the SVD style of rifle (not counting the Romanian Romac 3 which is not a true SVD rifle).  Why can not these rifles be imported from places like Finland and Canada?  I think that there will be a lot of people that would buy them now that they are currently not importable apparently!

I want one of those gold plated AKs

I really want one that is not shot to hell and back.  Standard military configuration and accessoriers for less than one thousand bucks.  No silver or gold plate.  No bells or whistles!  Just a nice example of a Soviet marksman rifle.  Is that too much to ask?

I very recently nearly bought a nice Tigr from another member of this gun board.  However a huge tree limb came crashing down, very nearly hitting our house.  Needless to say, my Christmas fund/ fire arm fund quickly became my "cut the tree down" money, so I am Tigr less!

Damn!
One Rusty Nut.
