Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is a longer pistol grip screw needed when going from plastic to wooden laminated grip??

I bought a Polish laminated grip but it didnt come with a screw so I reused the one that came with the rifle.. the screw doesnt thread in as far with the wooden grip because of it's length.. is this a problem or dangerous to fire the rifle ?? Do I need the 4 1/2" one that Kvar sells???

I think the 4 1/2" long one is for the longer Bulgy grip they sell with the marks for the ambi safety.

Check carefully, but you may just need to ream the wood pg hole base a wee bit deeper.
