I'm curious how to remove the rear sight leaf on my AK I want to replace it with a different one and I can't figure it out and can't find anything on the internet about it.  Thansk for the help.

I like to use a piece of 3/8 "dowel rod about 6" long, push down on the muzzle end of the sight and pull it back, it'll pop right out ...

Can't seem to get it.  Does the sight have to flipped up or down and what direction do you pull it?

I flipped the sight up and had someone push the spring down while I wiggled the sight out.

I'll leave it up to the professionals :).

you don't have to flip the sight up, I know it's tempting and may actually seem to be easier, but it's not.

Leave the sight down, lean the rifle on something solid, then use a punch and push the sight down enough where you can slip it out .

It HELPS a lot to have someone else give you a hand, but I've done a few myself already.

Installation is much easier.

I use a "C" clamp to get it off.
