Any of the AK builders/vendors out there willing to lathe down a threaded AK barrel for use with a stamped-receiver trunnion ?

Is the rear sight block the same for milled/stamped variants ?

Cosmetically no, functionally I beleive yes. Worse case, you might have to thin out the ears on the AKM guide verticals, to make the Type III block fit in...

It's frequently done, much easier than having to mess around with threading or indexing, or welding over the old gas port for a new one.
