Sorry OldTroop, it was nothing personal.

Actually, Aimless is correct.  I am supposed to send all of the BTT violations to Trash but have been just locking the threads for two reasons:

1) The ad stays active and members can still IM or email you on your sale.  If it is sent to Trash the ad is dead.

2) It is sort of a "training camp" so that others will see that if the ads get bumped early either by replying before the 72 hour wait time or the 4th page, whichever comes first, their ads will get locked also.

That is why you guys are seeing all of the locks.  I am trying to get the word out that the rules must be followed.  I hope it works.

I would much rather spend my time surfing this site than looking for rules violations, trust me.

The following rules are specific to “BTT”, or bumping ads to the top of the page:

1. Keep in mind Rule#1 Above.
2. No BTT until your ad hits the Fourth page or 72 hours, which ever is sooner.
3. All changes/updates should be done with the edit features to the original post, not by adding another response (ie. “Sly BTT”).
4. Don’t edit a topic to get the later timestamp, thus BTT your Ad (ie. “Phantom BTT”).
5. Don’t use a secondary account to ask a phony question, thus BTT you Ad (ie. “Shill BTT”).
6. Don’t delete an add just to rewrite it again before it hits the Fifth page (ie. “Sam Kinneson BTT”)
