Got a response. I explained the import restrictions to him, and just for shits and giggles I asked if he would send some more pics to us.
Troy,
I am answering you on behalf of Karl-Heinz Helmke, the owner of the "Speger"
rifle. Since the weapon was especially designed for hunting purposes it is
not compatible to AK-47 parts. Moreover, the rifle was constructed for
hunting purposes and consequently does not support full automatic fire. This
is due to precision aspects, that the engineers wanted to achieve.
I am not sure whether this is answering your question to 100%. Maybe there
are kits on the market to change the weapon to full automatic fire - which
is illegal in Germany. However, the weapon was originially designed for semi
automatic fire.
If you have further questions, do not hesitate to ask ...
Best,
Robin
