All the Romanian kits coming into the country are all laminated furniture. Well at least all of mine were all laminated except for the upper handguard.

laminate refers to the type of wood (or "fake wood" in this case) used in the making of the stockset itself. i believe the romainian stocks are shellac'ed. |

im no expert, but yes, i believe it is similar to plywood. glued pieces of wood. |

The rug appears to be a reproduction of an Afghani rug from the 80's when the Soviets were occupying their country. It shows imagery from their daily lives. Or atleast that is my understanding. Oh, BTW, anybody want to buy my lamenated stock set? |

I believe it's an Arsenal "Classic" with Polish laminated stock set. I've got one just like it. They're beautiful rifles. |

Yup, Sundance and tapeo nailed it on both counts.
The rifle is an Arsenal SA-M7 Classic, which they made about 250 of and there won't be any more. The stock set was an unissued set that I got from Robert Laukart in Poland. I don't know if he has any more. The pistol grip that came with the set is a piece of solid wood rather than laminate but it matches the stocks very well. The rug is from a buddy of mine. They are available, I'd check Ebay and see if there aren't any there. I need to take a picture of the British Martini Henry that another buddy of mine brought back from Asscrackistan. It's inoperable, just too many years of abuse, but the damn thing screams history. |
