Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Proper grip for a AKM underfolder?

I have a Vector underfolder and I hate the cheap "plasticky" looking pistol grip. What would be the most "accurate" or correct grip for it? Anyone know a source for one?

That's a Bulgarian "pink" grip from an AKS-74.

You could use a black synthetic, black bakelite, or red/orange bakelite........those would be appropriate.

Try Global Trades, AA-OK, K-Var, and Northridge.

I'm kinda partial to the reddish,marble Romanian pistol grip but my all time favorite is the Soviet AKM pistol grip.

I depends on the country..

Underfolders simply used the standard pistol grip of the country making the rifle.. The exception is the Soviets/Russians. They were either fitted with wood laminate grips, and the very late AKMS were fitted with a shiny plum grip. This went on even as the standard AKM was fitted with a maroon colored grip.
