I just have this uneasy feeling after reading ARFCOM  tonite. Maybe it is the
posts on the gas shortages ?
That old hunting case worked well.

It is a great "in the car" weapon.  Folding stock makes it handy to store more stuff in the case.
If I bang the Romy up a little, no harm done.  I'd hate to be at work and have everything at home in the safe.  Need more ammo though.  I'll grab a Green Battle Pack.

I wasnt kidding about being one. I have both of those rifles, my cetme is a no-ban though. Ive always stripped mine down to the receiver and barrel, gave them a thorough cleaning and oiling before shooting them for the first time, and have never had any problems either.

Its a great company for guys on a tight budget (as myself) but want a functioning rifle, might not be the prettiest thing, but they sure are a bargain. As long as you look it over before purchasing for obvious/major flaws i'd recommend them to everyone.

Im not all that crazy on the wasr galil stock. Flexed when shouldered and the plastic snapped my cheek when fired. It is a hell of alot of fun to bump fire it with the stock folded over though!

This is whats going south with me to AR (with a lot of ammo and mags).

Not really taking them just for SHTF though. I carry the glock 27 everywhere, and we're going to do some shooting so i'm taking the 74 and sar-3 i just got.

That's cool but ... the flashlight might show up in my Night Vision scope .... you probably would want to keep that turned off when you're "night fighting" ...

I've got my tricked out M4s at home, but if I'm caught out my AK should suffice in a defensive role. When you're away from home and forced to defend yourself and your Family,I feel like, heavy firepower will serve my needs better than a weapons light and red dot.The gear I have pictured is my everyday load, with the price of gas and the refugee situation,I've up-graded my threat level and will add a few more AK mags and RPK pouch.

I was watch that crap thinking the same thing. I like my VEPR for a few reasons. I think it would do well in a SHTF situation.

Thanks Pyro, but that is a Cold Steel Military Classic R1.A great knife and alot less expensive than a Randall, sadly,I keep my Randall locked in the safe and keep a couple of the Cold Steels around for use.

the two on top and the one on the bottom are the Cold Steel Military Classic R1's,the one on the left is my Randall Model 14 and the one on the right is a SOG Recon Bowie. As you can see,I think highly of the Cold Steel R1.

No,thats an M60 barel bag, they come either padded or un-padded with green rubberized canvas. The perfect size for a folding stock AK and relatively in-expensive.

Johno,
Do you remember where you got the M60 barrel bag?  I found a couple of places online that have them but they do not have a picture to verify it that it is the same thing.  Thanks

no pic, but i've got a chest rig loaded with 4 30's, 2 5's in the nade pouches and the pistol belt sporting 4 more 30's in a e. german pouch plus two coupled 30's locked and loaded. my spec plus knife is strapped in on the left shoulder, and bayo is attached on the right side of the belt.

i keep it hung up in the closet year round.
i also have a quick daypack for hiking i keep right there. quick med kit, matches and stuff ziplocked, thermal blankets, leather gloves, pancho, mirror, and various other stuff. pretty much the same pack i used for boy scouts for years when i was a kid. got some survivial manuals in there too.

Johno,
Thanks for the link.  I have contacted them to see if they still have the bags available.  They seem like an ideal carry case for my underfolder.  They appear more discreet and weatherproof than a lot of the soft carry cases out there.  Thanks for your help.

I built this and called it the AZC,"anti Zombie carbine"  but with all the bullsh#% that is going on down in New Orleans it can pull double duty as a a SH#% Hit the Fan gun.  Along with a few others that I have "laying" around the house....

I'm sure that this would help stop the looting..
