SEAK III will be a concerted effort between the professionals of In Range of Tennessee and Rapid Fire of Ohio!! We have chosen the awesome M-92 Yugoslavian "Krinkov" from the famous Zastava Arms Kragujevac Factory to be our third Special Edition AK here on AR15.COM. SEAK III WILL ONLY TOTAL 50 RIFLES. As such, it will be "CNC Engraved" on the left side of the receiver above the magazine: S.E.A.K. III 1 of 50 The Zastava Factory has a much celebrated history, and I encourage all of you read the history of this famous and historical factory to get an appreciation of this weapon. We are taking the rest of this week to work out the final details, but here is what we have for now: - Brand New Unissued M-92 Kit w/Tritium "Flip-Up" Front and Rear Sights - Armory USA 1.0mm Stamped Receiver - Gordon Tech G2 "Double Hook" Fire Control Group - US Manufactured "Yugo" Design Pistol Grip from our own "TheDukeRyan" - Ohio Rapid Fire "Fake" Suppressor - Durable Teflon Moly over Phosphate Finish Barrel extension up close! Ohio Rapid Fire will be providing the project with complete kits, a newly designed fake suppressor, as well as the Armory USA Receivers. InRange will take possession of the kits, provide the G2 FCG, US "Yugo" Pistol Grip, and assemble and finish the weapon. The SEAK III will come with a full one-year warranty on assembly and function. Shipping Costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser. FFL Transfer Fees will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Cost of the AR15.COM Special Edition AK (SEAK) III will be: $875.00 Non Team Members will be able to purchase the same rifle for an additional $50.00, for a total of $925.00. However, we encourage non Team Members to join AR15.COM with a bronze membership to receive the SEAK III at the Team Member price. Note: The production of SEAK III is contingent upon a minimum of 25 individuals desiring this special edition AK. Once we have 25 individuals providing a 50% deposit, production will begin. Production from start to finish is estimated to be 2-3 weeks upon receipt of the deposits of those 25 individuals. We are planning the final details this week and should be complete by 26 Aug 05. We plan on allowing 30 calendar days for everyone to spin up and put their name on the SEAK III list. We will begin taking names on 29 Aug 05 and cease on 27 Sep 05. Deposits will be due NLT 30 Sep 05. Production begins on 3 Oct 05 and will complete on 21 Oct 05. With the future importation of complete kits ceasing on 1 Jan 06, we feel this may be one of your last opportunities to purchase a unique weapon at a lower than currently available market cost. If you choose not to participate in this project, we encourage you to purchase one of these weapons from other retailers as soon as possible so as not to "miss the boat" like many of us did in 1989 and 1994. I will act as the single Point of Contact (POC) for this project and all questions will be directed to me. Weekly updates will be provided to AR15.COM Management so they can stay abreast of all matters affecting the members of this board. More details will follow this week. KF |

That's a great deal. I'd get in on this, but I already ordered one in May.

This will be a title 1 weapon? I know you mention a fake suppressor, but the photo shows a SBR. Thanks.
Updated to reflect the fake suppressor. The weapon can be "SBR'd" once you receive it, if your home state allows it. KF |

I've talked to Todd and we are going to make the can about 1.5" in dia. instead of 2.25" in dia. I think it would look better. OR!!! we can build a totally modern can that is dimpled and sharply rounded. What do you guys think?
*stirs from a deep sleep*
Very nice indeed KF and ORF. Trying to talk my brothers into getting 4 consecutives. BTW, I have REALLY enjoyed my SEAK I (003). It is a sweet shooting rifle. Picked up some plum mags and pistol grip, and it always evokes interest on the range.. |
I was thinking that since Im making up the grips I should get 01 for free
when is the pay date? when do we have to put our names up.. cuz i wants one

Tell me more here. How is this thing attached? What will be required to return it to the proper look once SBR'ed? |
Krink a question on how these are going to be numbered. will ALL the rifles say 1 OF 50 on them, like the current SEBR. or will there be a 2 OF 50 and so on ? mmk
1 of 50 2 of 50 3 of 50 and so on. |
The fake suppressor will have a solid pin non-removeable pin which will "lock" it in place. Once you have the SBR paperwork completed and approved, you can legally remove the fake can and reinstall the original flash hider which will be included with your SEAK III. |
THAT's what I wanted to hear |
How hard is it to remove the fake can and put the correct flash hider back on once you have your paperwork approved.
I am thinking about it. |
I'll take one. #X of 50 doesn't matter.
That's right. I'm from New Jersey. Got a problem with that? |
You bet your ass I want one!
I think that I should get #1, since I was the person to bring it up in the first place. |
Just out of curiousity, will the BC be stainless or finished?
Should only have to carefully dremel cut the solid pin between the FSB and Fake Can, remove the FSB front pin, unscrew the fake can, replace the solid pin with the original plunger pin/detent and spring, press the FSB front pin back in, and then screw the original flash hider back on ............. |
I'm just the guy between AR15.COM and the two guys who will be doing everything......The real guys behind this effort are Troy Sellars of In Range and Todd Grove of Ohio Rapid Fire. Without Troy building them and Todd providing the kits, we wouldn't be doing this. They both deserve the credit!! |
How about a pic of something like that? |
If it was a more orthodox AK, I'd consider one, but fake cans and the like are cheesy. No thanks.
Guys,
Heres my .02 on a couple things. I am NOT building the guns, just suppling parts. Troy @ InRange will handle mfg. On the can if you do not like the large 2.25 can I would suggest same style, smaller dia. We can get a sample done here next week and post pics. Todd@ORF |
If this would have come at a better time . Always wanted a Krink and I always wanted to piss off Toady....
You guys really know how to throw a wrench into the monkey. There goes all my near-term planning. It will be later into next month before I know for sure whether I'll be able to hard-commit, but I really don't see how I can resist one of these beauties. Now if it was just in 5.45-- I know, I know, you can't do everything. This is just fine-- I liiiike it. Don't forget to save one for Bob Williams. I hear he's making some money-- (and some of it is mine-- )
Off topic a little: I missed the earlier SEAKs-- can someone tell me what they were?? |
Goddammit, this woud be the week my car just burned up its tranny.
I am really tempted to say f**k it and get one anyhow. Anyone want a nice AR rifle? |
We contemplated that, but decided in order to keep it quick and simple we chose not to. It's easy to SBR after you receive it. |
I'm interested. It will have a folding stock right?
Can we get pictures of what the exact final version will look like? With the choosen can, etc.. Thanks |
As soon as we finalize what the cans can be we will let people pick the one for the build.
Sorry we will only be building rifles this time. That is a good suggestion for the next build though.
Maybe I missed it but this will be chambered for 7.62x39, correct? I'm tentatively in.... waiting on final details
Yes, it will have a folding stock. Pics of the final can design will be posted when complete. |
Yes, 7.62 x 39mm |
tritium sights on rifles aren't exactly the best. It would have been great to just have regular A2 sights with a full sight radius ala Galil / Valmet / Krebs.
Tritium sights are "flip-up" type. If you don't want to use them, then leave the folded down.
I'm in. +1. Tell me who I need to email or call to get in line.
Glad to hear that the original FH will be included! |
