I fairly sure if you change the actual bolt it changes the headspace. It would need to be re-headspaced at least. I know for sure that the bolt carriers won't interchange without modification ...

The bulgarian 5.56 uses an AKM style bolt (large stem). The Romanian 5.56 uses the 74 style bolt (small stem). So if you want to fit a bolt use a bulgarian/romanian 5.45.

Theres some debate but its believed that the Sar3 was made with a bulgarian barrel and trunion. If you take a look at the Sar3 bolt you can see how the lugs were trimmed to fit the trunion.
