Seriously, tough call. The 5.56mm will be more accurate and have more ammo choices, while the magazine situation may always be a little stressed. The 5.45mm is probably better suited for shorter barrels, and mags would be no problem. Ammo might be in the future, but hell............. I'd go with the AK-105 in 5.45x39mm |

I was leaning to the 105, but I have this SAR-3 that is begging to be turned into a 102 by the fine folks at InRange............and one more part to acquire and off she goes. Got my AK-100 side folder, brake from AK-USA and polymer handguards and pistol grip.......

For me, I'd go with accuracy over all else and the .223's really are the more accurate of the AK's I've shot ...

It's easy for me to choose 5.45x39 all the way.....
They make a rifle just for 5.56 it's called an AR15....
