I am looking at a NIB  Maadi with thumbhole stock for 300 bucks.  Sounds like a decent deal to me, but all I have dealt with are Arsenal's.   Are they (Maadi) decent plinkers??  Anything like the canted sights or something else to check?

Thanks
Doc

I have a ARM, MISR-S/A, and RPM........they are great guns, and great plinkers, the ARM is a nice rifle to make it into a soviet AKM clone. if it's a MISR, I would stay away from the -10 and -90. all of the finishes on them are shit....but nothing that a good coat of bake on enamel won't cure, after you strip off the old finish.

300 bucks is a very good deal for a MAADI ARM, RPM or RML......which if it's a thumbhole stock it's more then likely one of those........the MISRs came with pistol grips, after CENTURY put the necessary US parts in them.
