Quoted: The length with the krink booster is too short. The barrel is right around 12" at the front of the front sight, the booster dosent quite get it there. Believe me I've looked into it.

Assuming build is done by chopping an AK-74 barrel, it would need to be left long enough to bring the Krink booster (or beercan flash hider) out to 16", then threaded to the smaller commie thread size (14mm?). A 14mm to 24mm thread adapter would then have to be permanently attached to the barrel, and the booster permanently attached to the adapter, for a total legal length of 16"+.
It would look something like the setup on this gun:
IMHO, the extended 102/4/5 comp from AK-USA is a much cleaner, classier solution. And no more expensive, considering the parts/work involved in the other approach.
There's also this option from Investment Grade Firearms:
Also, I have it on good authority that Redjacket Firearms will be coming out with an AK-102/4/5 barrel extension of their own in the next few weeks. Hopefully it will be something more functional and cosmetically appealing than just a short "fake silencer".
