I finally got a 74. It is a Romak 3, beautiful little gun, great shooter, and good enough groups with iron sights especially with any AK. I finally broke down and got one because I just love the look of the magazines and that evil little spear like bullet. hat
I'm gonna need to keep this puppy going, so I need to feed it some good, yet cheap regular wolf type ammo whatever has the best price. Can you guys recomend a site for good 74 ammo.

And second I need to get some more mags, I really want a few long mags the cool 45 rd mags. I'm waiting on KVAR to start selling more. Any good websites where I can pick up more 74 mags.

Thanks fort the help guys.

I don't remember what shipping is for a case of 5.45X39, but Ammoman's price already has shipping charges included.

ya the shipping is what hurts when you order ammo. if you could wait for fun show near by you might be better off  and you could pick up mags there too. But akron armory mags are $80 for 10 and thats after shipping.

East German Bakelite 5.45 magazines and the Bulgarian 5.45 magazines are both very good.
I'd just stick with the FMJ, as I've read the hollow point 5.45mm causes feed problems.

Yeah shipping price is always nice when included.
I have 4 E german mags, and I just put some hollow points through them all with out one malfunction.

Sportsman's Guide has Wolf 5.45x39mm FMJ for $99.72/case (of 1000) for members right now.  For non-members, it's $104.99.  Their shipping is $13 for this item.  And, on top of that, you can usually find $10 coupons for purchases of $99 or higher.  That means, as a club member, you can have a case delivered to your door for $102 and change...

Of course, it's backordered until June 15.  But, for that price, I can wait.

Backorder some yourself at that price...  It's dirt cheap (but not Cheaper Than Dirt), and the price of all Wolf (and other Russian ammo) is climbing quickly...

Sportsmans guide is the cheapest place i've found for AK ammo by a pretty big margin. I just ordered 2 cases of 5.45 for $212 shipped (non-member price, minus $15 coupon). A couple months back i got 1280 rounds of 7.62 (two 640rd cans of wolf) for $104 shipped.

If you are still looking for mags this is a good deal.
www.northridgeinc.com/sp_mags.htm

Scroll down to the AK section and look for East German AK-74 Mag Set If you order 2 or more they are $25.00 a set. I ordered 3 sets and the total price came to $87.50. Plus you get the pouch and all the other stuff as well. I thought it was a good deal.
