SLR-108 <drool>

Of course that black furniture has to go to look like a proper AKM.

I'd be all over a SA M-7 SFK if it wasn't for that stock.  I hate that thing.  I'd rather an underfolder or triangle type side folder.

I agree........an underfolder looks better.

Man do I NEED more money. BTW is there any chance Arsenal will make a milled Chinese Type 56 clone with the underfolding spike bayonet? I just can`t find a Polytech version...

I doubt it.  Arsenal Inc works closely with Arsenal of Bulgaria... don't see them making Chinese clones.

Arsenal USA is who makes the Chinese, Polish, and Hungarian wannabe's. Arsenal Inc is the one who makes Americanized Bulgarian Kalashnikovs. Hope this info helps.

I have never experienced Arsenal Inc's folding stock. However, I would like something more comfortable than an underfolder. Does anyone know the length of pull on their folding stocks and/or if it is longer/shorter than their underfolders?

Thanx.
Sammy

I'd buy a SA M-7 SF if it was under $1000 out the door. To me, it's not worth anything above that, even with the way the dollar is right now. It's just an AK with a folding stock and a few parts Krebs or RSA (Power Custom) could throw in. I think the KTR-03S would be a better buy if I wanted to spend $1k on an AK.

Now the 5.45 rifles are going to sell like hot cakes. That to me is a lot of bang for the buck, since they're going to be more accurate than the 7.62 rifles besides.

As much as I would like a 5.56 NATO AK, Arsenal's SA-M5 doesn't do it for me, especially since it lacks the features a Galil or Valmet has.

Obligatory SA M-7SF pic:

The KTR-03V that Krebs is building for me cost a fair bit more than the SA M-7SF... base price $1350 for the folder, plus handguard vents ($25 I think) and a $75 Vortex FH.

SA M-7SF was only $1250

They were both a lot cheaper than my Valmet though!

By the way, my KTR-03V should be built within a month or so, I guess they're in customs now. That's assuming that the Robinson folder is finalized, which I'm not sure it is.

Waiting on a custom gun sucks.

Got a couple questions, I was wondering if the trunnion block for the stock is removeable if some one want 'ed to use a different stock for example. Also what is the button under the charging hande for?

Pretty sure that is a latch to lock the stock in the folded position.

Templer or Sigurd,

How does the length of pull compare between the underfolder and galil style stocks? Templer, you mentioned the difference with the fixed style stocks, but what about the underfolder?

Thanx.
Sammy

dskeet is correct, that button holds the stock folded closed.

I don't believe the stock is "easily" removeable.........if you're looking to put a different stock on it, get a SA-M7A1, which won't have the Galil style safety, but has the same front end as the M7SF.

There's a M7SF for sale on the Sturmgewehr boards.  I think the guys wants $1650 for it with mags and a scope.

To anyone interested Atlantic Firearms has Arsenal SA M7SF's for $1200, SAM 7A1's for $769, SAM 7 Classic's for $999 and SAS M7's for $1129.

In case you want to get any of these.

Templar, I'll be getting the initial payment for the SAM7 Classic out to Degoff's on Monday.

Working on memory, I want to say it's a smidgen longer than the underfolding stock.

When I bought my "special edition" SASM7A1 before the election, I felt pressured to get it while I could before a president Kerry would get in and panic the gun market first. (... and ban everything soon after)

I also thought to myself..."Why should Arsenal limit such a popular money maker of a gun to such a limited production of a couple of hundred units?" If they were wise business people, why stop now?

Well, I guess I wasn't so stupid after all!!! (...and neither is asenal)  Arsenal could not resist the temptation to transform more blocks of steel into $1,200- $1,400 golden goose eggs. So much for  "limited production" !

(Yea, I'll concede that in a sence these runs are limited when you compare them to the crap load of ARs that are being  produced daily)
