Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 0.612" barrel OD at muzzle. What brake options are available?

15x1 seems like a close fit to this size, but people tell me that I have to turn down the barrel if I want to go with 15x1, but 0.612" is approx 15.5mm

What muzzle brakes are available in 15x1? HK 91/G3s are supposed to be 15x1 but it's an uncommon size.

The actual caliber is 7.62x39 (0.310") and I'm trying to install a compensator and/or brake - not a FH.

i agree with whoever is telling you to turn the muzzle down if you want15mm threading. you may end up breaking the die if you do not remove some stock.

commie x39 bullets are .311" in diameter...give or take a thousandth or two. most brake openings seem to be in the .345" range...concentricity being your best friend, of course.
