I like leg's underfolder but not hip on the Ultimak. This is my Mak90 with my very own modified  Romanian sidefolder. You can see it doesn't hender the operation of the safety.

BTW there is nothing wrong with modernizing any weapon system. Just MHO. Sure if it's a C&R or Pre-ban(89) then it should be left original. Just more classy that way. But if it's a post 89 sporter than fix it up.

It's not bad, but I don't care for the sporty handguards.  There are tons of cooler commie-spec handguards that would still fit the whole picture.

Ditto Ajer.  The folder is very nicely done, but ATI handguards are not my favorites by a longshot.  For $12 or so, the Choate ones make a nice, cheap, US replacement.  If you're feeling rich, Kvar has some too.  Just my 2 cents.

take care,
Tec

Thanks for the constructive critisim. I plane to upgrade the hand gaurds. Also plan on adding a scope mount too. Just haven't really been sold on any one type of mount. I've ruled out the receiver cover type (I must admit that I purchased one and do not like it.).

Another vote against the handguards.  Real nice work on the Romy sidefolder.
