SEAK II Flatter trajectory, more accurate, still cheap ammo, good mags, great design. Perfect all round rifle. $750 if your a team member, $800 without. (good excuse to pony up $20 to the site) You CAN'T LOOSE. (ORF rocks too, fantastic customer service, great folks, great builds) Go here:

Gotta agree. I have the SEAK I and it's my favorite of the 4 AKs that I've owned. I currently have 2 others that are chambered in 7.62x39 and the 5.45 round is much better. Not that I don't like my 7.63 AKs mind you!
Only down side to AK74 rifles is now uber cool drum mags available. |

Yeah, I am willing to cough up the dough. What kind of accuracy can you get from the seak? I gotta have 7.62x 39 It just would not be a ak if were any other caliber.

I got to agree 100%, The SEAK is great, I enjoy shooting it more than my ARs, If there was only a way to keep it from ejecting cases with such force that they bounce off the shed roof of the range. |

Shooting groups finds a range of 4-6moa for 7.62x39, depending on the gun/ammo combo (see sticky in ammo forum below). My Bulgy build 5.45 is steady 2-2.5" for 5 with Barnaul fmj, and my Romy SAR2 is avg 1/2" bigger. Rested, 4x scope, RSA trigger set. Some better groups happen in 7.62x39, usually 3moa. Not enough for me to say buy this and get these results.. |
