Hello.

I would like to add a flash hider to my SAR1.  As I understand it, the compliance parts already on it are:
1) gas piston
2) trigger
3) hammer
4) disconnector
5) buttstock
6) pistol grip

If I were to add a flash hider, I'd need to add an American-made one, right? I couldn't use the Romanian one that K-var sells.

I would also need AK-073 RETAINER PIN ~ w/Spring for Muzzle Nut AKM; AK-026 PLUNGER PIN ~ Compensator Lock (Catch) AKM, correct?

If I wanted to add a bayonet lug, the gas block would have to be swapped out, yes?  Could a skilled welder just add the lugs to the existing gas block?

TIA!

You can add a US made brake and it would not affect your parts count.  If you add a foreign brake you'll need to add in another US part.

Yes, if you don't have them,  you will need to get them: RETAINER PIN & PLUNGER PIN

I've heard of people having  bayonet lugs welded on, but I haven't seen one.
