The Romak-3 is just an AK designed for the 54R isn't it?  I thought the Dragunov was a completely different design.

On a side note the Romak-3 would make a great battle rifle if the barrel was cut down to 20" and there were 20 round mags available.

How about a VEPR II .308 with scope, it's has the heavy duty reciever and is made in Russia. They are very nice quality.

Centerfire has a Paratrooper variation of the Romak 3 with 17" barrel, has anyone tried those out yet?
Is there any real advantage to a longer barrel on the 54R or is it just a waste?

Yeah. Fun rifle to shoot, good accuracy at distance. One of my favorites.

I put a Dragunov stock on my .308 Saiga.  Does that count?

If I could get a real SVD, I would be very happy. A Chinese NDM-86 in 7.62x54 would be nice as well (not .308). Or a Tiger with the appropriate parts.

...and a boatload of 7N1.

The PSL is a good rifle for its intended purpose. I have no complaints.
