I'm right there with you Campy, I'd like to see ORF produce a Mil-spec clone and or a RF 33 in 7.62x39 and SIG 55x, and a, and a, oh the list grows longer by the day.

Thats in Kosovo, you can see part of Camp Bondsteel in the background.
Allot of nations have peacekeepers there, and they all come to use the American PX (on post store). This guy looks like he is in the PA state guard. |

pardon my ignorance, but 'how' can you tell he is with the pa. guard? emblem on his patrol cap? btw, beretta owns sako and masi informed me that the production line no longer makes these rifles. i wonder if enough of our pictures dead presidents can get the finns to fire it back up? |

The emblem on his leg cap tells us he is (or was at the time of the picture) a SPC4, that is Specialist E-4. In my opinion that is the best rank there is in the US Army. |

Full Bird Private best rank?
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahah! Being a specialist means you get the respect of being a private with a lot of the responsiblilty of being a junior NCO. The worst of both worlds. Making Sgt E-5 was on of the happiest days of my life! And soldier squared-away up top needs to learn how to secure his field dressing or he is going to loose it quickly. |

damnit! you'll salute me! i was once a usn seal!!! er...maybe that was a hyena? i keep forgetting.
where do you think the exspression, "going postal" came from?!?! i served with the 251rst clerk's batallion and my mos was 22fu...that's a letter carrier with a license to thrill, baby! chicks dig letter carrier uniforms! we wore postpat camo and had tactical mail trucks! my mail bag carried an uzi and i always had a 1919a4 on a ring mount on grumman! can't be too careful around all them dogs. remember, the army and marines are tough, but NOTHING stops the u.s. mail!!! uncle sam wants YOU! for the united states postal service! a proud tradition where nothing changes but the date on the post mark! hoolah! |

He has the "Bloody Bucket" on his left shoulder. The Pennsylvanian suffered horrible casualties in WWI IIRC and the red Keystone patch has since been refered to either as the Bloody Bucket or the Bucket of Blood.

U.S.P.S. sniper: Why run from the dogs, you'll just die tired. Mess with the best get mailed like the rest United States Postal Service. Swift, Silent, Timely, United States Postal Service. A Navey SEAl and a U.S.P.S. mail delivery agent are in a public restroom taking a wiz, the U.S.P.S.M.D.A. zips up his pants and heads straight for the door with out washing his hands. The SEAL say's " hey in the Navey SEAL's the taught us to wash our hands after taking a piss" in which the U.S.P.S.M.D.A. replyed, "in the United States Postal Service they taught us not to piss on our fingers.

Like everyone said, the Keystone patch on the guys shoulder. We had the same guys guarding out post housing here in Germany about a year ago.
Yeah, SPC is the worst rank in the Army. You can no longer play "bumb private", but get no respect and can still get smoked. |

C'mon, look at that boys' BDU's. You don't actually think he'd do something to risk getting 'em dirty, like rollin' around in the mud, do ya? That there is a prime example of a REMF, trying to look cool for all his buds back home, knowing full well that the closest he came to doing anything was breaking up a fight over the morale phone at the MWR tent. The one time he did leave Bondsteel, he saw some allied soldiers and had his battle buddy take some hooah pictures for him, holding their rifle. (I spent 6 1/2 months in Kosovo, from Feb. til Sep 2000. The first few weeks we were in Gjilane/Ferazai, then we spent 5 months or so split between Monteith and Zegra, down in the 'Chicken Leg'.) |
