Hello, everyone. I am biting my nails waiting on my SEAK II. It will be my first AK 74, and I am guessing the bore diameter is less than a 5.56 ar (since the bullet is 5.45). Will my coated .22 rod, jag, and bore brush fit in the bore and work ok? Thanks for answers on this, I am guessing it will, just making sure.

It should work fine. The 5.45 comes out to .221 caliber so most .22 cleaning equipment should work fine.

the land diameter is about .215".
.22 rods, jags and patches are what i use to clean my ak74's. |

I like to cut a length of weed wacker line and melt one end to form a jag. Cut a point on the other end and thread a wet patch onto the line. Use the line as a bore snake...you will cause no damage to your crown or rifling and it does a damned fine job. I don't even own any bore brushes anymore. I do keep chamber brushed for my AR's and HK's, but thats it.
