Hi everyone, I've just purchased my first AK (WASR-10) and found this bbs, so thought I'd say hi. Took it to the range yesterday and am very happy with the results, although I do need to make some sight adjustments. Guess one of those sight tools is next on the list.

Also, I am giving serious consideration to buying a Kobra sight to go along with it. I just think they're..well...really, really cool looking. I also like the idea of a parallax-free setup. Anyone own one, or have advice? Pros/cons? Thanks!

I like my Kobra. No cons as far as I'm concerned, but it would be perfect on an Ultimak gas tube. I used it on a receiver mount and a top-cover rail, but having it further to the front would be cool.  I've used it on an AR nearly half way up the handguard and it seemed easier to get on target.

Thanks for the info Rusty. Did you have any problems with heat with it mounted up there?

Never thought about it much, but I guess not. I didn't fire the AR that much with it on there. Maybe 200-300 rounds on two occasions so I didn't give it an abuse test or anything. I found my receipt from CDNN and I paid $119 when they stil had them so watch what you pay for one. Enjoy the rifle...

I have a Kobra, no problems, very good repeat accuracy after removal and remounting, Ive never tested it in the rain, but as these were military, I assume they must be rain resistant.

Sweet. I just bought a WASR-10 a few weeks ago and my wood is perfect. No scratches or dents or anything. Im either gonna buy new stocks or refinish the ones on it. Im also gonna buy some stove blackner and re-do the reciever. Good looking gun!

Welcome To The Dark Side! You can use a C-clamp and a socket to adjust your windage if you don't want to buy the tool.
