Is there a 7.62x39 version that is reliable/lightweight?

I don't think you're going to find a 7.62 AK that weighs in at 6 pds or less. In fact, even a stripped down unloaded 5.45 AK might break 6 pds just a bit.

What I would recommend is a SAR2 in 5.45 than put on a K-var polymer stock.  Ditching the wood in favor of the plastic takes off a fair amount of weight.  Won't get you that light, but my SA85M with the K-var stock is nice to handle.
