Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - So I removed the pins on my Polytech front sight base and STILL cant get the #$%@$ thing off!!!

Hello, everyone.  So, I removed the 2 pins and the sight base will not budge at all.  I tried hitting the backside of it with a big rubber hammer, but no success.  Does anyone have any suggestions on this?  Also, does anyone know where I can get one of the older style front sight bases (Like the one I am trying to remove, it goes back further on the barrel than most front sight bases do)?  I do not see one on Keng's website and you cant call them anymore  Thanks in advance for suggestions on these.

The one on Global's website will work, it is the same id, it is just open at the top vs full circle. You might have to use a hyd. press to remove it.
