Well to clarify I have found LOTS of folding stocks.... as to what will work with a SAR1???? They do not say what should I bee looking for in the product discription so I know I am buying tthe correct one.....

You want one that will fit stamped receivers. The Romy folding stock is nice, just 2 screws to install and for me the cheekweld is surprisingly good using irons or the PK-AS sight. Tomac |

The "Romanian Side Folder" is the correct folder for your SAR-1
I concur wtih "fullmedaljacket8" ....., I have bought 2 Romanian Folders from Noveltyguns Both were "new" , cheap, and to my door in 3 days!! The only down-side is the music on his website!!

I ordered one of these a few hours ago. Then I decided to add to my shopping cart the broken shell extractor and the AK operators manual for good measure.

These guys were selling them on ebay for a while, I bought two from them then. They shipped extremely fast. I had my order within twenty four hours of placing it. The Romanian side folders they sell are the exact same as everybody else has, they will fit perfectly on a SAR1. I had to do a little dremel work on a postban SA85M, but it did work.

The reason the gunbroker auction price was so high is the guy has the parts shipped directly from the russian factory. Spending that kind of jack I would be to worried about the package being confiscated in customs.
