Guys,
There have been a few people ask about when they can order a gun. We will take gun orders in now. Guns will not ship for about 5-8 weeks. Batch 1 of receivers has been sold, batch 2 that goes on the machine next week is getting close to being sold out too. Receivers alone are still $499.95. Guns are $1799.95. Does not matter if your ordering a gun or receiver, each order is filled by order date, we do not slide one over the other. Each gun ships with, scope, mount, carry case for scope, clean kit, couple mags, gun of course, and a hardcase. Also guys that have kits already and are wanting them built by us, here are our assembly prices, $125 to brl and headspace, $25 to rivet trigger guard, $100 for blk park (sorry only finish we can do on these, too big for oven to get gunkote) O yeah the M76 is 8mm gun, the M77 is the .308. No M77s (yet, wink, wink) Thanks Todd@ORF |
Nice work!
You matching receiver serial #'s to the parts kits? For comparison, pics (click to enlarge) of original: http://www.fulton-armory.com/ZastavaM76.htm Suggestions for production run: change bevel of "lightening cut" to match original more closely. location of serial # inside starboard side lightening cut, per original. Again, nice work! |

Guys,
Custom serials can be done on request. All ORF guns will be matched to the kit. Serial will be located on the (well what would be the trunion) top left like Mitchell did on the ones they imported. The lighten' cut is getting changed, we will come as close as possible on batch 2. Batch 1 cut was gonna have the ORF info in it, and I changed that last min and moved to selector area. Todd@ORF |
Great News about the Lightening Cuts! I hope I have one with the proper lightening cuts?
I ordered early last week, how can I make sure mine is one of the receivers of the second batch? keep up the great work! ls |
Thanks Todd, Krink. I hadn't caught that other post.
I'm thrilled that youse guys are stepping up the the plate AND doing it right. Kudos. I'm sitting on (at this point) an old Bulgie milled type AK folder stock; I'll probably get an SA-93 parts kit and swap out for the bakelite handguards and grip that they put on some Bulgie AKS-47's. Are you guys still planning to do a milled AK-47 receiver, and an underfold variant of same? |
Todd,
These are slick. This may be a stupid question due to import laws, but any chance you folks will ever be working on a Dragunov style 7.62x54mm rifle (I saw the note on the M77, but I'm referring to an honest to goodness SVD-style rifle). Thanks. |
Guys,
Yes there are plans to make milled 47 receivers shortly, gotta get these other projects done then we can do others. SVD, I will look into that. Todd@ORF |
Todd, you guys rock. If you are able to figure out how to make it work - I can tell you right now that I know several buyers. Thanks. |
Is anyone offering an SVD Parts Kit? Also, when DPMS was planning to make them, they were threaten with a lawsuit from the russians. For what reason, I don't know. The gun is no longer patentable (to old), but that's what I was told. ls |

Southern Ohio Guns have kits for $595. They are called the "Zastava Kits" The last time I checked, they had 60 kits left. Pay the extra $10 for handpicked. I got a matching numbered kit.

Hey some guy on the AK forum came up with a way cool idea. He's starting a registry to help marry up the with Mis-match M76 parts. M76 parts registry
I know I'm going to try, neither my bayonet or scope mount matches. Krink- Any new pictures? What's the latest word for the first production pieces? ls |
Guys,
Here is the order form for the M76 rifles http://rapidfire.targetweb.net/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi/agora.cgi?cart_id=2236498.18875*ih5O01&product=M76_8mm_Rifles&cart_id=2236498.18875*Al0vF3 We hope to start shipping in about 2-3 weeks, rec orders will be filled in about 1-2 weeks. Thanks Todd@ORF |

Stoner beat me to it. |
I got to fondle one the other day at the store. Very nice feeling rifle. As a fan of the commie long guns, you wouldn't go wrong. Felt better than I figured it would. Good scope height. I think it would be a hoot and half to shoot/own. An SVD now that would be an interesting proposition. First in line!
Make that second. |
I think we would need some actual SVD parts, unfortunately. |

Can the M76 shoot heavy grain bullets. Such as 198grain?
Is there still one at the store i can look at? Does the price 1799.95 include tax? Do i have to pay in full or half to reserve one? Thanks. |
They had one at the store when I was there. I was more impressed than I had expected. Good feel, good cheek weld. If you buy it at the store, you'll have to pay sales tax. If ordering to a FFL will get you out of the tax, I'd go that route, even if you live across the street. A friend of mine drove over there from Indiana and bought a Galil. D'OH. Had to pay 7% tax on a $1300 gun. That added up, especially after gas. Email, I'm sure they'll get right back to you.

Guys,
The gun that was here has been shipped out already. I do not have any show pieces yet. I hope to get rec back from HT Thursday, get a few done over the weekend and they will be on the shelf for sale next week. They are $1799.95, if you wanna order one now, just use a CC we bill when we ship or you PU. Yes if you decide to drive here and PU you will have to pay the 7% Ohio tax, sorry. SVD kits, what you guys want some SVDs now? Hmm what to do what to do. Well actually we are working on that one. There is a receiver here that we are map'n. Thanks E.H. for the use of it! I am working on some Russian (yes Russian) used exc shape kits that are sitting in another country beggin' to come here! More on those later. Todd@ORF |
Its my distinct honor to donate my rifle for a while, if it'll get more SVDs out there for the US public. LEAST I can do. I was dropping hints all over the place, glad Todd finally came out with the offical word. |
I called ORF today.
ORF said i have to pay the 7% tax even if i have the gun sent to a FFL because i live in Ohio. Is this right? Just want to make sure. I am sending a money order with the FFL copy does the money order make a difference with taxed/not taxed? I bought the SEAK this way with no tax. Sorry if i sound Stupid. Trying to save money so i can buy a Galil next time. Also they dont know if shooting heavy grain will hurt the gun such as 198grain. I cant find any info on the net. Anyone Know? Sorry again if i sound Stupid. Thanks. |
Yes, if you live in OH, and you buy a gun from RH, you must pay state sales tax.
take care, Tec |
Think you could offer one like this for people in CA? |
Drone,
Yes if you live in Ohio and your dealer is in Ohio you have to pay tax. On the SEAKs, the deal with those was flat costs, I ate the tax for the Ohio customers that purchased guns. Guys, You want a CA Zastava? Take off FH, bayo lug, would be CA legal right? 10rd only gun. LMK can be done Todd |
Nah , It still has a pistol grip and CA DOJ might say its of the "AK series" which is not even valid anymore but they act like it is.... Feature part of CA aw goes like this : the definition of "assault weapon" also includes any of the following: (1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following: (A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon. (B) A thumbhole stock. (C) A folding or telescoping stock. (D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher. (E) A flash suppressor. (F) A forward pistol grip. (2) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds. (3) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches. Also I was thinking that you could sell Hk clones here if you made the magazine detach with a tool (bullet tip) since that counts as a permanently attached mag.. they could have all the goodies then also.. |
Skammy,
Ok we drop the FH, bayo lug, and make a nub for a PG kinda like a duckbill. So all you have now is a 10rd detachable staright stock gun. That work? Guys, Shipped out darn near all 76 receiver orders today. Builds that were sent should be done in a week or so. Customer purchased guns, same. Thanks Todd |
Todd- The ones shipped yesterday, do they have the original lightening cuts? ls |
LS,
Yes they were as close to original cuts that we could make at the time. Its alittle wider/taller but looks damn nice. I thought I had posted a pic but I guess I didn't, will snap one and post soon. Todd@ORF |
I'm sending a letter of to our DOJ soon to clarify our law for us.. I'll im you the info as soon as I get it because they may claim it is of the "AK series" where as a dragunov would be hard pressed to fit into that category.. Thanks alot! for considering it for us CA guys.. alot of people don't even bother |
Skammy,
I would not really class it as a Ak nor a Drag. Its a gun of its own bread. Todd@ORF |
