It's not a Saiga receiver. They have the RPK-like reinforcing rib on one side. The receiver in the picture is flat like a normal AKM.

I'm going to guess it was a converted low-cap. No dimples for the mag well and riveted up holes where the firecontrol group was placed for a non pistol grip stock.

And made by Izmash, thus its a Saiga reciever gun thats been built into some sort of abortion of parts.

If I wanted a converted Saiga, Id go with one from Marc Krebs and pay the extra bucks for quality.

atlantic is all right. find out 'who' built the rifle...orf or ak-usa, etc.

if hexxe/vulcan converted it...RUN AWAY!

it is a saiga conversion...the question is 'who' did the work.

That is absoulutly a 7.62x39 Saiga receiver.. You are thinking of the VEPRs that are made form RPK receivers...

Valid points all......

BUT , IF the FCG and Feed ramp conversion is properly done on these ,
all you would need is a new gasblock/front sight - and some Kvar furniture.

Oh Ya - and it would still basically be a RUSSIAN AK
