...That's a damn good grouping.

2" groups at 100 yards for 5 shots.
Standard NRA target.
1995 import Saiga 7.62x39mm 20" barrel with factory 3.5x scope and mount
Any imported ammo with the bullets pulled and the cases recharged with the same powder. The powder charge determined by average weight of the powder charges in 10 rds. Then seat a Sierra 125gr sp .311" bullet and a good crimp.

Pfft, and all the AR-15 guys say our AKs are inaccurate!
They are holding their own against ARs!

I haven't been able to do any long range shooting... But I can hit empty 12-gauge shells out to about 50 yards... That's about .75" across and 2 1/4" long. Pretty impressive rifle, I think.

my converted saiga .308 with a kvar scope mount(low profile) and a tasco buck site 3-9x40 with indian surplus ammo will take the tops(just the tops) off of 5 beer bottles one at a time at an honest 100 yards. it has a very good g2 trigger(with shortened pre travel) and a east european thumbhole stock. i wish someone would host a pic for me, it is a great looking rifle.  i have not shot at a real target but i would say under 2 inches at 100 yards according to my beer bottle shooting. if anyone wants info on how to shorten pretravel safely on a saiga, email me.

Romanian ROMAK-2, 5.45mm x 39mm, will normally shoot 2.5" groups with a Kobra, off a bench at 100m.

That's as good as a rack grade AR and pretty damn good for a Romanian AK in my book.

Vepr 7.62x39 - 3"@100 yards with open sights and wolf copper jacketed HP's.  I'll let you know about how well it shoots with a scope after this weekend.

NHM-91 with: regular stock, factory trigger, iron sights, off the bench at 200 yrds, 4.5" group.

Using Chinese Norinco boxed ammo, headstamped 71 92.

Target was a paper human silhouette.

Note: The rear sight was replaced with a East German one, that didnt wiggle around sideways like the factory one did.
