Damn!
I never thought an AK that's literally filled with sand (dumped inside and not allowed to pour out) still functions (although as a single-fire [bolt 'locks' open on the hammer, as you can see. just needs a nudge to get going again]). |

And folks whine about the lack of match accuracy in these saying that only hits count. But to hit, the gun must first go bang.

Match accuracy? This past Saturday I shot in a "Practical" rifle match with my AK and was center of mass in the ranking, which is where I usually am with my AR. To me it felt like I was shooting better than I usually do with the AR, but maybe I was just having more fun. In one stage that required 12 hits I completed it with 12 rounds. In another that required 10 hits I goofed and took 11 rounds. It was alot of fun to beat ARs with scopes with an iron sighted AK. I think the "practical" or "combat" accuracy of an AK is fine and on par with the AR. It is for me. |
