no...no joke.

this morning i stopped in at john deere dealer that is located 16-18 miles from my home (i needed a part and had to run that direction to pick up several appliances, anyway).

as i approached the parts counter, the guy behind the counter says, "hey! we were just talking about you (me) last night!".

now, i don't know these parts guys, other than to bs and snatch a much needed part and run off to get my machine back in the yard or field.

i said something like, "ok...what did i do NOW?".

the three guys behind the counter simultaneously flew into a barrage of questions about...BULLETFEST!!!

none of them had been there, but had a buddy that spectated there last year.

needless to say, they are all coming out to bulletfest to party with us this year!

hmm? now, how do i parley this into a discount on my green & yellow parts????

one of the countermen said he lives 3 miles from snode's and that he heard what sounded like ww3 breaking loose.




he is still kicking himself in the ass for not following his ears and seeing what all the fun noises were about!!!

the closest i'll ever come to 'celebrity' is being known as the dude that showed up on the starting line of bicycle races with a marlboro in his lips!
