well, a ma duce is 'pre-ww2' technology. do you have a point?
first off, the kalashnikov did not even exist during ww2. it utilizes the same 'technology' as the vaunted sar-21, h&k propducts, the sig-55x series and a host of other 'modern' weapons systems...the highly efficient pressed sheet steel receiver.
it has been rechambered since 1974.
it incorporates an integral optics/accrssory mounting rail.
it incorporates a left side-folding buttstock that makes it shorter than an m4. the aks-74u 'krinkov', introduced circa 1975, is even smaller.
it incorporates the most efficient muzzle device ever attached to a military rifle.
the latest series (ak-107 and 108) incorporates the balanced mechanism and an auto-selected dual fire rate similar to the akaban an-94 rifle.
ww2 technoloy, indeed!
