An alternative is to take 5.45mm AK-74 magazines, install a Robarms 5.56mm follower, and use that. Should hold 25 rounds or so just fine. Some of the 5.45mm magazines don't even need the 5.56mm follower to work great.
Waffle magazines are out there, but people are holding onto them. There are a couple of rumors of some stockpiles that may be cut loose in the kinda near future..... |

The steel magazines are too wide in front to fit into the receiver.

I have heard this of the Saiga but has anyone tried them in the SA5M yet?

There are a couple of them on Gunbroker.com but they are not cheap, about 30 bucks a piece plus shipping.
