if it's a hi-cap, jump on it. they normally sell in the $250-325 price range.
if it's a lo-cap, that's about what it's worth...on a good day. i've seen guys sell those for $125. |

The low cap's take 10 rd single stack mags. IF you're fitting Chinese 30 rd mags in it then you have a "high cap" model. Good score.

Buy it if it takes the 30's. They are ugly, they are crude, and mine ( that I don't have a case for and leave in the back of my truck ) is the most accurate AK I have.

Is it a standard barrel version, or one of the
long barrel versions?? The long barrel versions make a good, cheap RPK clone. Mine runs like a raped ape, bumps like a maniac, and looks real tough sitting on the coffee table with the bipod and 75rnd. Chineese drum in it. If you don't buy it, I'll take it sight un-seen. Standard barrel version.
The manager put it out on the floor for $399!!! But I will put it in back Friday! Now I have to think about accessories for it... |

Do like I've done with my SAR-1. Send it to Inrange for a commie-spec refinish, tune-up and the attachment of a brake of your choice for $100.
I'd go parts compliance and do the Soviet AKM clone route with a slant brake. |

The Styer imported Maadi's are considered the "best" preban AK's you can buy. I've seen them go for $1,200-$1,400 and up. They are so pricey becuase they were manufactured in a Russian factory. The Russians/Egyptians simply moved the entire factory to build them in Egypt. I'm talking about only the early Styer imported models. Some later "Maadi" AK's came with Chinese receivers and far lower quality.

Yea...those welds on the barrel nut are usually cracked. The nut then comes right off...hehehe

You did REAL GOOD,thats an ARM.As far as post ban Maadi's go,thats the best one.If you can find one,they bring around 450.00 in my area.Add the 5 US parts and you can put it in Original Military configuration.
