Okay, I know this isn't AK related but since this is the most popular forum in the AK community I thought I'd take my chances.  Anyway, I just purchase a new Yugo M59/66 (SKS) coated in cosmoline.  What's the best way to remove this slime so I can have a nice clean rifle?  I appreciate the help.  Thanks.

I've looked for elbow grease everywheres and can't find it, does it come in a can or spray bottle?

Great, I have much to look forward to then. I have a MN covered with it and haven't got around to dealing with it yet.

I have decent results with a round heat duct, a register flange at one end, and an electric space heater at the register end. Slide the gun in, run a while, pull out, towell off what has become runny, repeat for an afternoon. About 98% effective and great for keeping nasty chemicals off good wood.
