The Soldier with the AK is a Coalition Soldier. Many US units are permitted to use AKs to increase the personal level of firepower, alot of our Guy's are only issued sidearms. My Son-in-law just returned from Iraq in August, his Company crossed the Tigres river in rafts and several of them lost their weapons in the river.these weapons were quickly replaced with AKs either captured or dropped by the Iraqi's.
