for a good, clean example...no box or accessories or original paperwork...they start at $750 as a "damn good deal" and top out at about at $1100.

a nib example with all original items and packaging might fetch $1300 if the buyer really wanted it.


a steyr import maadi (the only pre-ban version) with a fixed stock and in good condition may sell as low as $600, more typically about %700-800 in my area.

i have heard of both rifles selling below $500, but i have never seen it happen. if you can...BUY BOTH!

as far as desirability, i would rate the maadi above the chi-com variant. other fellas, i'm sure, would go the other way on that call.
