he must listen to oldies stations, pave!!! .....and BTW, .... song came out in 1972, i remember it well! i was a sophomore in college...dating a cute little thing from cleveland by the name of 'faith'. had becky (wild, and i mean wild!, romanian chick on the side. also seeing dondi (yup, as much of an airhead as her name) and semi-shacked up with a girl i worked with at the post office...sharon. ...dresses were anything, but "Long" yup. it was a short slide job from thigh to nirvana. ...hence the "desire and mystery"....bwahahahaha! so that's what fueled 'free love'! I really miss those days...... brother, you and i could kill TWO bottles of rum swapping tales of the late '60's and early '70's! someday, pave...someday!!! Ask Campy. dude, what i remember of those daze is probably only about 30% of what went down... maybe it was just because i was young...maybe it was just because i was stupid, but those were damn fine years! i think that the only time i ever felt more alive was when i was in the middle of some damned bicycle road race, zonked out of my mind on endorphines, vision greyed out from lavk of oxygen and every muscle in my body screaming for me to just stop the pain... ...and even then, in the middle of the peleton, my mind spun back to the shit i did back then! btw...ask ken roberts about those daze. he and i had a parallel universe thing going. no wonder i like him so much! heheheh! |

those shoes were a crime against humanity! although i had some that were of..uh...questionable...taste, i do not believe i ever wore ones that were that..uh...bold! good thing i destroyed all those pics of me, up at the 'wildlife' bar...doing the honaloochie boogie in a sparkle shirt! damn! i would do ANYTHING to get laid. and usually did! heheheheh! gawd i'm such a cad! |
