Hello to everyone here!
I'm not here to cause any trouble with the site at all. I have to say I'm sick of the spat that has been going on and I think many others are as well. I started reading the forums over here and I don't see the BS that I see over there at the other place. There are a lot of good people over there and many of the mods are decent guys too, but I think many of them are fed up. I know Campy and the guys over here like to have fun with the problems, but I'm sure everyone here knows that there are a lot of good people over there. With that said be prepared for more refugees as it only seems to be getting weirder over there. Here I am another AK owner as well as a bunch of C&R stuff. I'd love to show y'all some pics, but I'm afraid my guns would give away my identity and I'm still cruising the other place as well. Cheers, Tufek |
SHHHH. I won't tell if you won't. Actually I am a member on both boards and go by the same name and I haven't gotten any flak for it. I don't think either forum will prosecute you for belonging to each other so I wouldn't worry.
Nah, I use the same name on diffrent boards also, I havent caught any hell yet from either, I just stay out of the whole thing, but I must say, the funnies is over here. Now that I have donated to ak-47, I need to figure out where to send the money at over here also. Just stay low, and keep out of it is my policy.
Welcome to our place. Make yourself at home!
I do question your reluctance to let the other board know you frequent here..... Anyway, have a great time. Krinkfreak |
Krinkfreak,
If you knew who I was then you would understand why I'll keep it under wraps for now. Like I said, I'm not here to cause trouble at all. |
Anyone with a fair balance of information over attitude is very welcome!
They still let over there under the same name. I think it is like the Parents Music Resource Center in the '80s never laying into ZZ Top because once they went thru the record bin to Zappa they never got any further. And they are obsessed with Campy's shadow. |
Thanks RS39!
I recognize many of the names of you guys and I also notice some of you have been absent from the other place. |
I go both places, heck I have a boring job with a internet connection so its my way of making 8 hours. I have even been known to stroll on over to subguns and falfiles on occasion, depends on whats going on around here.
tufek, welcome fellow traveler. i also joined the mass exodus. i had to leave before it was my responsibility to turn off the lights. life is good here, look around.
Well, your grammar seems to be up to par....so that rules out quite a few people in power at GunGoons.Nutz.......... Email me and let me know the deal. Take care, KF |
Welcome aboard Tufek!
Don't worry I do not think there is a person on here that does not like what the other place use to be.. It truly was at one time the definative source for ak knowledge on the net.. Like we all have said on here, we don't have a problem with anyone from the site ..well err maybe with the exception of Lisl who I would not piss on to put him out if he were on fire..lol But as for the rest of you guys..your civil to us.. we will be with you and everyone can have fun. |
aw hell, i may as well jump on this too. i'm also a member of that other place and a few others as well. i just try to lay low and let other folks hammer each other. i'm not here to argue, i'm trying to learn a little something, maybe pass along a tidbit of info every now and then, and generally enjoy myself. this stuff is too much fun to get all worked up over.
Heck, I cant be a refugee, I came to both about the same time, I spent about 5 years when I first got on the net looking at porn, heck it was the only thing I could figure out it was good for. Now I split my time more productivly, 80% porn and beef curtains
18% gun sites 2% deleting all the friggin spam and spyware I get from visiting the underbelly sites, oh yeah, not to forget the high seas of piracy.. Long live kazaa. |
but I'm afraid my guns would give away my identity and I'm still cruising the other place as well.
unless you have a minigun, you are anonymous! ok...ok! if you have a twin dshk i might know 'who' you are!!! dunno about the mods on the actual gun forums (over there), but after reading shootyman's 'furiner' comments about bob and vartan at k-var and redstar's kissy-assy comments about inrange and the k-var incident...i wouls say hat many of them are still marching in goosetep formation with the mis-management team. it's sad. it used to be such a good site. loosership starts from the top down, i guess. anyway, welcome! i much prefer to talk about kalashnikovs and other firearms...although laughing at the ongoing passion play does maintain some much needed levity. what's that jimmy buffet song say? "if we didn't laugh we'ld all go insane!". |
I feel like my ancestors of 3 centuries ago, welcoming the newcomers to these safe shores and to freedom. Free at last Free at last, thank God Almighty they are free at last. I emmigrated from the other place in the first exodus and have not fealt the need to go back.
Welcome aboard Tufek.
We'll welcome anybody who doesn't come here to cause problems. Don't matter where they come from or anything else. what's that jimmy buffet song say? "if we didn't laugh we'ld all go insane!". Why it's Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes of course. Rather appropriate, huh? |
Yeah.......
I think they need to have a few more laughs over there as far as the mods go CampyBob. That place has really changed and I know a lot of members are scared to say so. I've always been one of the guys that stays out of the crap unless someone goes after me and that has only happened 2-3 times in the years I've been over there. I like weapons of all kinds and I don't have an American Black rifle yet, but hopefully soon! I like to talk a little politics and what not too. I'm an Ohioan like many over here and I just have a real laid back attitude. It's only the internet afterall! |
What other site did you say you came from?...........LOL!! ;)
I'm Original-SSR on the other boards. I have done business with K-VAR, and find them to be a very good company to deal with :) And no, my post won't be deleted because I stated that ;) |
Welcome aboard, it won't take long to realize that folks here no longer believe the world is flat
Thanks again guys and in a few weeks I'll release my identity when a few things come into place.
I already know all you guys from your names and have talked to many of you over at the other place. Some of you I have known for years now. What a shame it has to be like this. I feel like I am trying to escape the iron curtain. |
Welcome to our little side of the world. Pull a up a chair and join the fun.
Welcome Tufek. WOW!! I feel its like a 007 movie..... To be continued..... I go by the same name at other boards I visit.I have yet to be Banned. But heck tommorow is an other day.. LOL.. Glad ya made it ... The MAYTRIX is a Mother *ucker ain't it....... Are you who you think you are? Are you , me and I don't know it?? Who the Hell am I? Red Star?? Congie?? See told ya!!!! WarDawg
Welcome aboard.....I got into trouble over there as a result of Gucciano, and asked that I have my membership revoked over there, since they were too damn immature to allow the typing of "Campy" or AR15.com".
Screw 'em....you're in better company over here. |
I go under the same screen name on both boards also. I mainly go to the other site to cruise the for sale forums, and post occasionally in the discussion forums. There are still some really knowledgeable individuals over there, and some good topics.
I've been a member over there for like 3 years and only have maybe 35 posts, so that shows you how much I get mixed up in the shit over there. I can't understand someone professing to be the premier site to deal with the AK, and then barring the mere mention of Kvar. thats so freaking childish that it defies description. Welcome to any and all from OVER THERE, the atmosphere is far more conducive to free thought OVER HERE. Chuck |

I too am a recent defector. I was starting to question the integrity of some of the members and mod's during the falfiles fiasco. When I was slammed by admin. for informing the forum members of the waffle deal at k-var I was very annoyed. I use the same name on every forum I attend.
Phil |
Who the hell is that tactical bastard? Anyway, it's not me and believe me I'm not here to make a stink, but I might be a little upset over current events and maybe I shouldn't run my mouth too much. |
Tufek,
Its an inside joke. There are a bunch of fake Russian wannabe soldiers over there. They dress up in army men clothes and play war. Then they go back to their video games. anybody else notice the 3 pin Krink? |
Jeepcreep
oh you mean thesee guys??? [IMGhttp://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g1.jpg Russian Spetsnaz GUIN MVD, Mikhail Kalashnikov, Roman, Chamberlin, and Chabloink. Russia 2003 |
no, not the real soldiers! The wannabes! you know who I mean! the little dough boy I see him there pretending...wishing....
Chabloink, since I have your attention...where did you guys get all those postban C3s? |
Anyone else notice the front end has been photo shopped. Or is it just an angelic glow around it?
Oh you mean those guys who traveled 10,000 miles to hang out with those real soldiers, shoot their guns, and participate in a little training with them???
http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g1-med.jpg http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g2.jpg WELL HERE WERE ARE, on those photos. And this is the doughboy you are talking about right? The one is being awarded by a gold AK-47 pin by the man himself. http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g4.jpg |
Hey Ober,
Do you think this is photoshoped??? Here is dough boy with BIZON and PBS http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g8.jpg or this one of him with VINTOREZ VSS http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g7.jpg what about this one ? The GROZA experimental bullpup ak used by the Spetsnaz http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g6.jpg And this one has to be fake, I mean where in the US would they find a real VSK 9a1 http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673g5.jpg |
AN on this ones
The Spetsnaz wanabees are in training. They photoshoped the shit out of this. Look, they are from Arizona, and this doesnt even look like it. They even photoshoped the Russian GAZEL car. http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673training1.jpg http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data/500/6673trianing2.jpg |

Actually, those are some very interesting pictures, and some neat hardware.
Was this some sort of a vacation trip? Sort of like a package deal set up to go over there and get to participate or what? While I do agree that those portrayed in the above pictures got to do some neat things and meet some interesting people, is there some bone of contention that the above pictured folks are claiming to have spetsnaz training or something? I wouldn't think that such is the case, unless you spent like 6 months there or so. While you may have more spetsnaz training than me, I still wouldn't think that it would qualify as a claim to be spetsnaz trained. Anyways, really neat pics, thanks for sharing them. That looks like a vacation and a half! Chuck |
The only 'spetsnaz' training I got was on how to drink murderous quantities of Vodka and still shoot a Makarov! But it was the trip of a lifetime for sure.
Jeepers Creepers, apparently you have a problem with me? Look man, I would have chosen the black baclava to wear, but I got stuck with the urban camo one....sorry you don't approve of the mis-matched uniform... -C |
Bwahahahaha, I always heard that vodka was like a water substitute over there!! I never got a chance to travel to the former USSR or to the Federation, that would be sometime in the future at this point. To clear something up also, I meant to say that it would not be correct for someone to outright claim to be a spetsnaz trooper after such a vacation. Obviously there was a modicum of training involved, and a claim to training is justified I guess. Is the Federation actually like stepping back into the 60's like it always seems to be portrayed in the media. Always looked to me like they were at least 20 or so years behind us? Chuck |

Well, since I am a product of the 70's, I can't say for sure, but yes Russia has a lot of catching up to do....if that is their intent.
I did see giant "home depot" type stores in Moscow, a Lamborghini Diablo, Hummers, disco clubs, and tons of women dressed to kill. The same can't be said for the smaller towns, but there is definately something peacful to be had in these places...girls walking down the streets hand in hand, laid back attitude, a more inviting comraderie overall. BTW, I understood what you meant about the spetsnaz thing... that would be like trying to claim yourself as a NAVY SEAL. I just had a couple of days with them and got my assed kicked, drank alot, and played with their weapons (in that order) that's all... I have new brothers now. And they have new watches. Great people with TONS of pride and heart. Wish I remembered more of the trip ;) Ah, that's what video is for.... Also, to answer your question, this was not a package deal that you can buy out of a travel agency... we had been planning this trip for over two years. If you have the money and connections you can do a certian portion of the stuff we did, but some things I think were pretty un-repeatable regardless of dollar figure... It has been about 4 months now, and most of the trip and events haven't even hit me or sunk in yet... Well all this writing has got me thirsty...time to go grab some water....or is it Vodka? -C |
Personally, I'm just plain jealous. Been to some exotic places on this planet, but never to Russia. |
I didn't think that it was a commercially available package, like some 4 day 5 night all inclusive or anything( I wish )
Yes, I would have to say that I am experiencing a certain ammount of envy. You got to experience something that is not currently and may not ever be again available. Then again, with the need for hard currency over there, perhaps some monetary persuasion would grant a fellow certain privileges. I'd hate to think how much money though. Thanks for sharing Chamberlin Chuck |
Those pics would be Roman and if you check his forum out you can see his many pics of life on the lines in Chechnya as a Russian soldier. I do believe those pics above are from his trip to Russia this past summer where he Met Mikhail and gave him osme stufff from the other place.
He's the real deal and not a wannabe. |
Tufek,
Sorry but Roman was outted as a fake. All his "pictures" were stolen valor of real men who were there. He was not, and has admitted it. His "story" was plagiarized from a book entitled Seige on Grozny. He left the board for a while in shame, but apparently decided he could return and play army man again. He won't be back here. Chamberlin, I have no problem with you, if you guys want to play army that is cool with me. I just have to wonder why play it, when you guys are young enough that you could be joining your brothers in arms for real. You didn't however answer my question about all the C3 guns you guys are using? |
Jeepcreep,
OMFG! I didn't know that! I remember there was a little hubbub a while back and he was gone, but I didn't know what it was about. That really stinks! I liked him and talked with him on many occassions in his forum. That's another little hidden secret that didn't seem to get out over there. I've been a member over there for several years and I never knew that. It all makes sense now though with the name change and some of the other members that were posting stuff asking him why he was being the way he was. I never saw and explanation about it though. |
Rot Dorn,
Or I mean JeepCreep The dressing up as Spetsnaz, you have no clue what it was done for hehehe, so lets just leave it at that. But since you don't know what it was for, lets stop talking about playing soldiers, and other silly things like that. |
