OK Guys.

The first thing i said to myself when i pulled it from the box was .....WOW!!
Other than having to wade through all the crumpled up newspaper they packed it in (good job) the gun is a work of art, plain and simple.

It was a Bulgy kit built on a OOW receiver, finished in ORF's new "Black looking parkerized
flat whateveritis" finish. It looks great.
Nice flat finish and very uniform looking.
No blotching, runs, flaws, Just black.

My hats off to Todd and the guys ar Ohio Rapid Fire and the fine and timely work they are doing. I am hooked as a customer and cannot recomend their work more.
If this gun is a preveiw of one of the future AK-74's that he is planning to offer in kit form very soon, you are going to want to jump on one of these like a drunk cheerleader on prom night!!

I will get some pics posted early next week.
Range report to follow also.

Hey, did you use the Bulgy kit I sold you?

It would be nifty to see that it has turned into a rifle already.

Ahhh.....Blark...I see now.
Mike, You guys did a great job on it!

Ajer,  Yes, this of off the kit you sold me.
I used the black stock set that was with it, and plan in ordering a USA plum buttstock to use with the spare forend i now have.
Next one will probably be a CHICOM build.
But who knows...:)

This AK thing is a whole lot more fun than building up an AR-15.

Mike does excellent work. I'm glad there is enough for all of us. I guess you could say he is a VAN GOAT or is that Van Gough? He still looks like a damn monkey to me. Enjoy your rifle. I'm sure will get many years of service from it.

Inrange is the "Sworn Enemy" of Gunsnet....

Damn, how can we all become "sworn enemies"?

Looks like someone is looking for a builder for the parts he recovered from a chicken coop somewhere in the mid-West.

Range report update:

Ginall got my case of BARNAL 5.45 ammo this week and shot it a bit during lunch.

Function: Absolutely flawless. Not a hint of a missfeed, fail to eject, or any other malfunction.

Accuracy: Awsome....Shoots as well or better than my 20" Hbar AR, but with less recoil.
I was running through a double-tap drill on
2 different targets at about 25 yards.
Effortless to shoot. Great sight picture with the standard sight, no decernable left ot right sight cant, and the front sight pin is centered in the front sight housing.
It does heat up a bit, but not any more than an AR would after a similar number of rounds.

This rifle is quickly becoming one of my favorite rifles to shoot just for fun.

Hopefully ill be doing some 100+ Yd tests this next week.
