Long time reader, new poster on the AK boards. Great work all you AK freaks! :-)

Anyhow was firing my new AK yesterday and after maybe 10 rounds or so started feeling specks of burning powder on my fore grig hand. is this the norm for ak's? I was using the cheap wolf , but never had a prob with it in my SKS or AR.

If its a prob. how should I fix it?

Besides that, I had a blast. Put MANY rounds down range without the noise or gas pressure like my bushy M4gery with mini ycomp.

You can also shoot with your left hand wrapped on top of the mag where it inserts into the gun... The Russians shoot like this very often, and although it takes some getting used to, may not be the most accurate position, it is relatively comfortable and you won't get blasted by any gases. I do this on M-16's too, although I wouldn't typically recommend to my friends to shoot like this on an aluminum AR grenade, as that's where those guns tend to have big problems if a catastrophic failure occurs.... but AK's are OK...
Give it a try.
