i have never heard of anyone adapting a long stroke, direct drive gas system kalashnikov to a short stroke, impulse piston, adjustable gas venting dragunov style rifle.

other than having douglas (or anyone) turn you out a match grade bbl., and then following the basic al accurization tips, i know of no really good way to get to where you are going.

first of all, even a factory dragunov, running russian match ammo is no target rifle. a mildly tuned remington 700 will run rings around it, as will a reasonable dcm/cmp ar rifle.
